Primary Responsibilities:
Create design layouts, including graphic design and site navigation for the Summit Business Media web sites and user interfaces.
Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and make sure that they are universally accessible.
Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and updates to existing websites when requested by clients.
Provide training on maintenance and update procedures to clients who choose to take charge of their own websites.
Requirements
Associate’s degree or higher in Web Design or other discipline related to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of experience in related field.
Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Knowledge of SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint Designer a plus.
Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and dynamic HTML.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, etc.)
Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way.
Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design, and experience with UI usability concepts.
