Description
Summit Business Media is hiring for an Editor to work out of their New York or St. Louis offices on Resource Investor, the mining industry's leading website.
This position requires an experienced Editor required managing a national monthly publication and website in the legal market. ResourceInvestor.com is a free service to investors, financial professionals and other stakeholders who participate in the mining, drilling and piping sectors. It provides unique independent news, analysis, commentary and analytics on the sectors with the goal of empowering readers with information from which they can gain advantage or profit.
Some 120,000 readers gather on the site each month from 203 countries representing every continent. Resource Investor was acquired by Summit Business Media, LLC on 03 Nov 2006. Summit Business Media, LLC represents the business-to-business publishing interests of Wind Point Partners, a private equity investment firm located in Chicago, Illinois. Since its formation in 1984, Wind Point has invested in more than 80 companies and has over $2 billion of capital under management.
Requirements
- Three years experience managing a team of editors and reporters.
- Bachelor's degree, required / Graduate degree a plus.
- Mining reporting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with commercial Internet publishing.
- Experience with P&L responsibilities.
- Proven track record setting editorial direction and strategy for print and online products.
- Ability to manage budgets and departmental administration.
- Detail/deadline oriented.
- Strong skills in Quark, In-Design.
