Summit Business Media Appoints Thomas Flynn as COO/CFO
Brings nearly 20 years of experience in publishing, media and entertainment
December 8, 2008, New York, NY – Summit Business Media, LLC, a leading media company serving the business-to-business market, today announced the promotion of Thomas M. Flynn, CPA, to Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Flynn, 40, had been CFO of Summit Business Media since July, 2007 and was previously CFO and Managing Director of Shared Services at Highline Media LLC, a Summit Business Media operating unit since 2003. He is based in Fairfield, CT and reports to Andrew Goodenough, President and CEO of Summit Business Media.
Mr. Flynn brings nearly twenty years' experience in publishing, media and entertainment to his role at Summit Business Media. Prior to joining Summit/Highline, Mr. Flynn was a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PRIMEDIA Business Magazines and Media, overseeing all financial functions in North America. Earlier, he was CFO of About.com when the company was acquired by PRIMEDIA, Inc. in 2001. Other positions held include Vice President and Senior Financial Officer of Hibernia Communications, a privately owned broadcasting company, and Director of Royalty Accounting at EMI Capital Music Group, a large multinational entertainment company. He began his career as a Senior Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
