CU Times Names Industry Women to Watch

Nominations open to spotlight influential, forward-thinking women reshaping the future of the credit union community
Washington D.C., December 12, 2011—Credit Union Times has revealed its final five Women to Watch for 2011. The program was launched earlier this year to recognize women who are challenging the status quo and pushing creative solutions to address what ails their credit union or the industry as a whole.
The final five were selected from nominations submitted by readers and will be announced on December 12th at CUTimes.com/W2W. They will also be featured in the December 14th print issue.
The final five honorees are:
- Lisa Brown, president/CEO Tallahassee-Leon Federal Credit Union
- Tarrah Palomino-Prim, assistant vice president of web services SAFE Credit Union
- Lynda Milton, president/CEO Team Financial Credit Union
- Kerry Parker, president/CEO A+ Federal Credit Union
- Theresa Mann, president/CEO The Partnership Federal Credit Union

- Tamara Vrooman, CEO, Vancity
- Steph Sherrodd, Executive Vice President/COO, TDECU

Nominations for 2012 are open at CUTimes.com/W2W and will be accepted throughout the year and narrowed down to an elite 10 who will be recognized in Credit Union Times and on CUTimes.com/W2W. The microsite features news, opinions, links to blogs, and recommended reads for aspiring Women to Watch.

More than half of credit union CEOs are women but the figures diverge at larger credit unions: 74% male CEOs to 26% female CEOs.
