March issue of Summit Business Media’s Futures Magazine points to value of managed futures for investors
Chicago, IL. (March 8, 2011) –Futures Magazine, a Summit Business Media publication, named the Top Traders of 2010 in its March issue and stated that the value of managed futures in a diversified investment portfolio was once again proven in last year’s sometimes turbulent markets.
“Our Top Traders of 2010 have shown long-term success in an often volatile business and were able to perform well in a difficult year,” said Group Editorial Director Ginger Szala. “Commodity trading advisors are the mutual fund managers of the derivatives business. In 2010, after a rough start, they performed well, up 7.03%, as measured by the Barclay CTA Index. Assets under management grew to $266.8 billion, almost 25% over the previous year. Perhaps this marks a realization by investors to the benefit of adding managed futures to diversify portfolios.”
Futures Magazine’s Top Traders of 2010 include:
• RAM Management Group LTD: Commodity trading advisor earns 38.36%
• VACA Capital Management LLC: Solid return of 27.81% in global diversified program
• Fort LP: Programs earn double digit returns
• Hawksbill Capital Management: Average annual return of 33.27%
The March issue of Futures Magazine also includes the Guide to Top ETFs and an interview with William Eckhardt: The man who launched 1,000 systems. Read about Mr. Eckhardt here: http://www.futuresmag.com/Issues/2011/March-2011/Pages/William-Eckhardt-.aspx?k=william+eckhardt
